One of my absolute favourite places to hang out at. Friendly staff, good food (love the burgers), very nice selection of Belgian craft beers. Favourites are Rochefort and La Trappe.

Motherfucking Fat Boy’s! Serves up a nice variety of comfort foods, including burgers of course. The “Fat Basterd” is a favourite (it’s quite a fucking monster). Also has a “Build Your Own Burger” menu where you can customise your own burger (awesome). Also has a small but nice list of bottled craft beers. Favourites are Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale, Satan Gold, and Little Creatures Bright Ale.

THE best place for beer as far as I’m concerned. Opened and owned by Daniel Goh, founder and editor at Young Upstarts. A very cool guy who really knows and respects his beer. Serves an incredibly wide selection of imported craft beers and ciders. A must go for beer lovers.

Just discovered this place. Best place for Japanese craft beer in Singapore. Serves Hitachino Nest (one of my favourite brands) on tap. Just recently launched their yakitori menu, must go back again soon.

Directly opposite JiBiru. Food is awesome, especially fish and chips. Opened by Keith Loh, winner of the Singapore National Barista Championships in 2010. One of the best places for coffee in Singapore. Unfortunately did not get to try any (it was late!). Comfortable ambience, pretty damn classy. Must return to this place again.

Wanted to visit ever since I first heard about it but was too damn lazy to. Finally decided to get off my ass and go after a friend’s recommendation (thanks to a certain Genelle). A really awesome restaurant & microbrewery with a wide selection of craft beer brewed on-site. Beer is amazing, didn’t order any food since we had dinner already somewhere else. Definitely will visit again. Must visit again. NTS go in the afternoon, it’s a lot cheaper.

Yayoiken Japanese Restaurant, 177 River Valley Road, #B1-50, Meidi-Ya Supermarket, Liang Court Shopping Centre
Cute Japanese restaurant located at the basement of Liang Court. Great place for casual dining, food is inexpensive and surprisingly good. Rice is free-flow for all set meals (yay).

Japanese Dining SUN, 30 Victoria Street, #02-1, CHIJMES, Singapore 187996
Is this place called Japanese Dining SUN or SUN Japanese Dining? Because I’m pretty fucking confused. Comfortable ambience, elegant and warm decor with an open kitchen concept (think sexy dim lighting and dark wooden furnishings). Food is fucking awesome, contemporary Japanese cuisine although a little on the steep side. Wait staff are nice and attentive. For some reason they’re all beautiful women. Which is a good thing.

SUN with MOON Japanese Dining & Cafe, 501 Orchard Road, #03-15/16/17, Wheelock Place, Singapore 238880
Don’t know why the name is stylised like this but whatever. Never been here but it’s the sister restaurant to Japanese Dining SUN, which means it should be pretty fucking good. Again, decor is elegant and tastefully designed. Definitely must visit.
